The role of Traffic Engineering Officer involves providing professional traffic engineering advice and making a mark on the city's transport infrastructure.
About This RoleYou will work with internal stakeholders to engineer operational and innovative solutions to ensure the city's transport system is safe, efficient, and sustainable.
Key Responsibilities- Identify solutions to complex traffic management issues, including road safety, parking, pedestrian, cyclist, and public transport.
- Conduct field investigations to gather data and information.
- Review infrastructure design drawings to ensure compliance with relevant standards and policies.
- Develop and review signage and line marking plans to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
- Undertake road safety audits, crash investigations, and speed limit reviews to identify areas for improvement.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to communicate project progress and outcomes.
- Provide input into the development of internal policies and procedures to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
- Prepare reports and correspondence in relation to transport and traffic engineering matters.
