Accountant Opportunity in Gippsland

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Gippsland. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality accounting services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage tax compliance, including reviewing and analysing financial documents and records to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and file tax returns for clients, identifying potential tax deductions or credits.
  • Provide clear and concise explanations of complex financial matters to clients, demonstrating professionalism and maintaining strict client confidentiality.
  • Oversee a client base, managing their financial accounts and providing guidance on financial decisions.
  • Supervise junior accountants and bookkeepers, providing feedback and support when needed.
Requirements:
  • An Accounting degree is required.
  • 5+ years related public practice experience.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Excellent with MYOB & QuickBooks.
  • Experienced utilising large ERP accounting systems.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
