Intensive Care Unit Specialist Role

Mater Private Hospital Townsville is recruiting skilled healthcare professionals to join our multidisciplinary team as Intensive Care Unit Specialists. This opportunity suits medical practitioners seeking a challenging and rewarding experience in critical care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care within a Level 6, ten-bed tertiary ICU setting.
  • Collaborate with the intensive care team to manage critically ill patients.
  • Participate in 24/7 ICU operations, including day and night shifts.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • At least three years of post-graduate experience, including six months in anaesthesia and six months in ICU or ED.
  • Advanced skills in airway management, including bag-valve-mask ventilation and endotracheal intubation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in arterial line placement and central venous catheter insertion.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Australian permanent residency.
  • New Zealand citizenship with a current passport.
  • Citizenship of another country with an appropriate visa allowing work in Australia.
