Intensive Care Unit Medical Officer Opportunity

This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic Intensivist-led ICU with a multidisciplinary team, caring for critically ill patients. You will have the opportunity to work closely with Cardio Thoracic patients and our CCU/CTU team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide care to critically ill patients as part of an Intensivist-led multidisciplinary team.
  • Work with Cardio Thoracic patients and the CCU/CTU team.
  • Participate in 24/7 ICU operations with day or night shifts as rostered.

Requirements:

- A Registered Medical Practitioner with AHPRA registration.
- Three years post graduate experience; including three months preferably six months in anaesthesia; in addition, at least six months experience in ICU and/or ED.
- Skilled in airway management including bag/valve/mask ventilation, endotracheal intubation and laryngeal mask airway (LMA) placement.
- Demonstrated skill in the placement of arterial lines and central venous catheters.

Eligibility:
  • A permanent resident of Australia.
  • A New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport.
  • A citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia.
