About the Role

As a Project Director, you will play a crucial role in leading major Wind, Solar and Battery storage projects in Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team responsible for the successful outcome of these projects from initial investment decisions through to commercial operations, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • You will lead a team of professionals responsible for project planning, including time, budgets, quality, and health and safety.
  • You will develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure project success.
  • You will work closely with stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • You will oversee contract management of turbine and balance of plant contracts during design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning.
  • You will chair progress, technical, and other meetings to drive project outcomes.
  • You will actively manage consultants, site personnel, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • You will report project progress, including time, budget, risk, quality, and health and safety metrics.
  • You will hand over projects to operations and facilitate lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your Profile

  • You have successfully completed university studies in engineering or a related field, typically civil, electrical, or mechanical.
  • You possess approximately 5-10 years of relevant experience in project management or construction, preferably within the renewable or energy sector.
  • You have excellent communication skills and fluency in professional English.
  • You demonstrate strong project management, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • You are flexible and willing to learn new skills, with knowledge of Australian HSE regulations and standards.
  • You are proficient in MS Office tools, including MS Project, and have a willingness to travel.
