We are seeking a highly skilled Vendor Management Specialist to join our team at Farm Credit Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing relationships with third-party vendors who supply materials and services to our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Lead vendor selection processes, identifying vendors based on organizational requirements and engaging them in information gathering and formal processes such as Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP).
- Manage negotiations with vendors, assisting in the development of contract terms and service level agreements, and ensuring that Ag Vantis' interests are protected in contractual agreements.
- Sign authority for vendor agreements, executing agreements with external suppliers below an established threshold.
- Monitor vendor performance, reviewing Service Level Agreements and escalating issues with vendors as necessary.
- Implement processes and controls to measure vendor performance against contractual terms and service level agreements.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, marketing, business administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ years' experience in vendor management, procurement, or a related role.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills with technology vendors, including SaaS solutions and Cloud hosting.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to conduct difficult conversations.
- Proficiency in vendor management software and tools.
The successful candidate will be required to work a full 8-hour day, with occasional overtime as required to meet deadlines. Moderate travel with overnight stays may be required, depending on projects.
