About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Advisory/Senior Risk Advisory Consultant to join our team at Kaizen Recruitment. As a key member of our risk services team, you will play a critical role in delivering expert advice to clients, particularly in the NSW State Government agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead internal audits, organisational risk assurance, and process improvement projects, tailored to internal standards and practices;
  • Prepare reports and collaborate closely with clients;
  • Provide advice on enhancements to policies, procedures, processes, systems, and controls as part of the internal audit process;
  • Engage in business development activities, including attending events, networking, and presenting to potential clients;
  • Develop roadmaps and statements of work for live projects to align client needs with new approaches and service offerings;
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to support organising workload schedules across the team;
  • Guide junior staff through providing training and mentorship;
  • Build strong client relationships to pursue future partnership ventures.

Technical Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary education, ideally in accounting or business-related degree, and any other relevant qualifications, such as CAANZ or IIA Membership;
  • Solid background in basic internal audit and risk management practices and standards (IIA and ISO31000);
  • Expertise in conducting internal audits of core financial processes and controls, along with auditing of operational processes;
  • Experience in performing risk assessments and reviewing risk management frameworks, among other related tasks;
  • Proven track record collaborating with public sector, government, and/or not-for-profit clients;
  • Adept in ERM systems, such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamix, Oracle, Netsuite, etc.;
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships.
