About this role
We're seeking a talented Senior Associate to join our Sydney Risk Consulting Division, delivering high-quality consulting and assurance engagements to our clients.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end client engagements with oversight and guidance from a manager.
- Understand clients' risk environments and utilise internal audit specialist knowledge to deliver engagement outcomes.
- Identify and report on client financial risks in relation to their internal financial systems and processes.
- Develop engagement plans focusing on areas of higher risk and opportunities to add value.
- On-site delivery of risk consulting engagements, managing client interactions and overseeing junior resources.
- Work with managers to develop high-quality internal audit reports and engagement deliverables.
- Contribute to commercial problem-solving through analysis, critical thinking, and logical reasoning.
- Present outcomes to clients and internal stakeholders to influence decision-making.
- Review and quality-check findings and recommendations in the context of the client's broader business environment.
- Manage engagement financials, including budget monitoring and flagging potential overruns.
Skills and experience
- Previous experience in business risk, business process review, or internal audit.
- Sound understanding of control documentation and assessment.
- Business process review and improvement through facilitation and documentation.
- Demonstrated skills in managing risk across complex projects.
- A strong understanding of controls, including the ability to create quality testing documentation and perform gap assessments.
- Ability to engage with clients and diverse stakeholder groups across all levels of a client's businesses.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong report writing ability.
