Job Description

As a construction disputes specialist, you will be responsible for advising clients on a wide range of construction and infrastructure disputes. You will play a key part in managing disputes arising from major infrastructure and development projects. Your work will involve preparing and responding to payment claims and adjudication applications under the Security of Payment legislation, as well as handling related interlocutory proceedings and alternative dispute resolution processes.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage disputes arising from major infrastructure and development projects
  • Prepare and respond to payment claims and adjudication applications under the Security of Payment legislation
  • Handle related interlocutory proceedings and alternative dispute resolution processes

Required Skills and Qualifications

You will ideally have the following skills and experience:

  • At least 3 years of post-admission experience in construction litigation and adjudication
  • Experience across back-end construction matters (front-end experience is beneficial but not essential)
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent technical, analytical, drafting and project management skills, with keen attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong commitment to client service and the ability to build and manage client relationships
  • A focus on achieving commercial solutions for our clients
  • A willingness and ability to mentor and supervise junior members of the team
  • The ability to organise and prioritise effectively
