About the Job:

WorkPac is currently seeking a skilled Project Controls Officer to join our client in Gladstone, QLD for a 3-month duration. The ideal candidate will assist the Project Shaping Specialist with various tasks and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting project leaders in cost control and forecasting to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline project controls work processes, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
  • Downloading reports from SAP and analyzing data to inform project decisions.
  • Raising purchase requisitions and processing invoices in SAP, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Liaising with project leaders to confirm scope of commitments and payment substantiation.
  • Maintaining a project change notice register and implementing effective contingency and change management processes.
  • Performing close-out and capitalization activities at the end of the project, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Providing document control guidance and governance for engineering-related documents, adhering to established document management practices.
  • Complying with standardized processes, systems, and tools to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Providing additional administrative support as required.

Requirements:

  • Certificate in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent training and experience.
  • Strong administration background with document control exposure.
  • Excellent time management skills and high attention to detail.
  • Good analytical skills and strong communication and organization abilities.
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP, with SharePoint experience preferred.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience. A competitive salary package will be offered to the successful candidate.
