Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Motor Product Analyst to join our team. As a Motor Product Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and improvement within our Motor product portfolio. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze market trends and competitor offerings to enhance our existing Domestic Motor product suite.
Key Responsibilities- Market Analysis: Provide support in monitoring and analyzing Australian and overseas insurance markets and trends.
- Product Development: Assist in identifying opportunities for profitable growth in the Australian Motor insurance market and recommend improvements to existing products.
- Project Management: Support the design and development of new and innovative Motor products, options, and benefits, as well as enhancements to the existing product suite.
- Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and interpret insurance portfolio data, compile reports, and analyze trends in the Motor insurance portfolio.
- Competitor Research: Conduct competitor research and analysis to stay ahead of the market.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage stakeholders to drive measurable commercial outcomes for the business.
- 2+ years of experience in General Insurance (short-tail) product/portfolio management, underwriting, and/or claim experience.
- Sound knowledge of short-tail insurance product(s), underwriting, and rating methods, systems, and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good problem-solving ability.
- Sound numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- A 'can-do', team-focused attitude.
- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining focus.
- IT literacy and the ability to learn new systems.
- Working knowledge of common application software, e.g., MS Office suite.
