Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement underwriting guidelines for motor insurance products
  • Manage a team of technical underwriters to ensure accurate and timely underwriting decisions
  • Provide subject matter expertise to stakeholders on complex technical content, including underwriting guidelines, risk acceptability, and referrals
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business strategies
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of general insurance underwriting experience, with a focus on motor insurance
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, such as business administration, economics, or finance
  • Proven track record of driving successful business performance and improving underwriting outcomes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
