The role provides strong governance, patient advocacy and engagement with the health system through multiple domains of responsibility including clinical care, multidisciplinary team work, communication and engagement with NWHHS services and external agencies.
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
- A relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences
- Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia
- Appointment as a Rural Generalist SMO will require one or more of the following advanced skills: Adult Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Remote Medicine, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health, Mental Health, Palliative Care, Small Town General Practice, Population Health, Academic Practice, with Anaesthetics or Obstetrics considered
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence
