The Business Strategy Analyst plays a pivotal role in defining and executing business design and strategy for core banking programs to deliver intended outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, Solution Architects, Product Owners, Service Designers, and Customer Journey Experts to define and validate future-state business processes and requirements.
  • Elicit, document, and maintain traceable business and regulatory requirements, ensuring alignment with IT strategy and business objectives.
  • Ensure proposed IT solutions meet business needs by collaborating with architects and technical SMEs, exploring feasible alternatives when necessary.
  • Assist in the development of user stories, support development teams during implementation, and provide guidance during integration and UAT testing.
  • Design efficient, low-touch business processes that incorporate risk and regulatory requirements by design.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and delivery teams, offering ongoing support for product, system, and process-related queries.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of the Australian payments landscape and hands-on experience in large-scale banking transformation programs.
  • Skilled in capturing, refining, and managing business requirements, designing efficient processes, and aligning them with strategic goals in complex environments.
  • Proven ability to work in Agile and hybrid delivery models, collaborating effectively with stakeholders including Product Owners, Architects, and Customer Journey Experts.
  • Experienced in reviewing technical solutions for business fit, managing risks and issues proactively, and ensuring traceability and prioritization of requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and ensure shared understanding across diverse delivery teams.
