We are seeking a qualified and registered Pharmacy Technician to fill this key role.
- The ideal candidate will undertake pharmacy duties as dictated by management, including supporting Medicines Management and Optimisation on the wards and in the dispensary.
- They will end-check on prescriptions previously validated by a pharmacist and support the ward-based clinical pharmacy team by assessing Patients Own Drugs (PODs) for suitability of use.
- Additional responsibilities include transcribing medicine requirements from drug charts onto a ward pharmacy sheet and undertaking Medicines Reconciliation.
The successful candidate will have a strong ability to work flexibly in a 7-day service, communicate effectively with patients, carers and the multidisciplinary team, follow written procedures and complete tasks to deadlines.
