Hotel Guest Service Agent Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join our team as a Hotel Guest Service Agent. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our guests have a memorable experience from check-in through check-out.

The ideal candidate will be able to multitask effectively, working efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and high level of professionalism. You will be the first point of contact for many of our guests, so it's essential that you possess excellent communication skills and are able to provide accurate information and resolve any queries or issues that may arise.

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Achieve positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure an efficient reception experience for guests, including check-in/out, and complete audit procedures as required
  • Maintain open communication with the Guest Service Manager regarding relevant feedback from guests and other departments
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times
  • Participate in training courses as needed and assist with the Night Team's training and development efforts
  • Develop knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, and general product knowledge necessary for daily duties
  • Maximize room occupancy by using up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
  • Adhere to correct procedures for accepting foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash according to the hotel's credit policy
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation
  • Follow company brand standards when working with front-of-house equipment and property management systems
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed
