Psychiatrist Opportunity in North Queensland

We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to provide high-quality clinical care to patients with mental health needs in the Cairns region of Australia.

About the Role:

This position will involve working with multidisciplinary teams in various locations throughout the Cairns region, including remote communities.

  • Staff Specialist: Inpatient Services - Work in a brand new facility supporting patients from diverse backgrounds, including Indigenous communities.
  • Staff Specialist: Rural Tablelands - Provide clinical services to rural communities in the Atherton and Mareeba regions, offering flexibility in your schedule as needed.
  • Staff Specialist: Adult Community - Work with community-based teams providing relief support across these teams, who offer MHAOD community-based support in Cairns and surrounding areas.
  • Staff Specialist: South CCT - Continue care for consumers in the South area of Cairns, working with a team and managing a caseload of patients from diverse backgrounds.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA.
  • Fellowship with the Royal Australia & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
  • The ability to provide high-level quality clinical care.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
