Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Library Services and Lifelong Learning Program and Outreach Officer. In this role, you will provide exceptional support to the Library Services and Lifelong Learning Team, assisting with the delivery of programs, activities, and outreach initiatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a range of library programs, events, and lifelong learning outreach activities across multiple themes. This includes arranging meetings and events, preparing materials for program delivery, and promoting programs and collections through displays in branch.

You will also undertake rostered and relief customer service duties, including evening and weekend work at any Hobsons Bay service centre, library, community hub, call centre or outreach location.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A certificate or diploma in libraries, education, or community development, or relevant experience in a related field.
  • A strong community focus and high-level communication skills.
  • Sound administration skills and high level of computer literacy.
  • A current Victorian Driver's License.
