Lead Data Analyst

We are seeking a Lead Data Analyst to play a key role in coordinating data analysis, design, and modelling techniques across enterprise data platforms.

  • Establish and maintain robust data structures through efficient coordination of data analysis, design, and modelling techniques.
  • Develop and implement data management strategies and metadata to ensure consistency of information retrieval and pattern recognition throughout the department.
  • Define data visualisation/reporting processes and guidelines to provide overall control and governance.
  • Design and develop Power BI reports and data models for clients with low data reporting capability, providing actionable business intelligence advice for operational efficiency and strategic decision making.
  • Lead the establishment of business intelligence processes focusing on automation, key controls, and data quality.
  • Provide expert advice on available standards, procedures, methods, tools, and techniques for data analysis functions across the department.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify enterprise data needs, define and implement data analysis solutions as required.
  • Drive appropriate and ethical data practices across departments through continuous stakeholder engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, evaluate benefits of adopting into the department, implement, and drive adoption.
Key Skills
  • Established experience in developing data analysis frameworks, standards, and guidelines.
  • Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights for operational and strategic stakeholders.
  • Technical expertise with modern data toolsets such as Power BI, SQL, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience working with modern data management strategies and modelling such as Data Mesh.
