Role of the Youth Support Worker

You will be part of our Youth and Community Education Team, working within the Early Intervention Framework. Your role will involve engaging with young people by developing positive and non-judgemental relationships that encourage and empower them to take control of their own lives.

Duties of the Youth Support Worker

- Support staff to provide a soft entry point for young people to engage with our Drop In space
- Engage with young people in a way that they feel welcomed and comfortable
- Offer support to a small group of young people to assist them to achieve their goals
- General cleaning and tidying of Youth Zone
- Participate in Drop In briefs and debriefs
- Drive or support bus trips from local schools

Requirements

- Passionate about engaging with young people
- Enjoy developing and delivering targeted programs to young people, including cooking and life skills
- Ability to facilitate activities, games, and competitions
