The role

An Opportunity is available to join my team of wonderful Youth Workers who help to facilitate my daily life. My support workers assist me on a 2:1 at all times.

I enjoy going to the library to play video games and shopping, and these activities help me feel more grounded and connected.

I am seeking a Youth Worker who is wanting to join a team environment. I'm looking for Youth Workers who are kind, compassionate, and expressive people who enjoy laughter, creativity, and connecting through shared interests. The right person for me would love gaming, spending time at the library, and playing with toy cars. Ideal youth workers will be enthusiastic about joining in these activities, whether it's helping explore new games, finding cool books, or setting up imaginative car tracks. If you're someone who can bring fun, patience, and a sense of adventure to everyday moments, we'd love to hear from you

Key responsibilities:

  • Support me to achieve my goals to reach my potential in all facets of my life.
  • Support my life skill development through proper implementation of established plans and programs to support the achievement of goal outcomes for me.
  • Actively engage in person centred active support.
  • Maintain accurate records.

Shifts

I am looking for someone to support me on a PT basis with the potential to join the team part time in the future.

My shifts are generally but not limited to , ,

The ideal candidate will have: (Insert any specialised training if required)

  • NDIS Worker Screening or DHS Disability related check
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current CPR
  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family intervention or other relevant qualification

About you:

I am looking for a creative and positive person to join my team. A good match for me would be someone who has an efficient and confident approach in what they do and possesses a calm and patient nature. I can do all my own personal hygiene, but it would great if you could support me with extra prompting to do this. I would also like you to role model in household activities such as cleaning, washing, cooking and meal preparation.

Other requirements:

  • Experience in working with people who have experience with high behaviours of concern's
  • Ability to implement individualised developmental programs.
  • Experience implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
  • Flexible working hours
  • Experience in various models of support preferred.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in service delivery.
