Job Summary

We are seeking a Principal Closure Specialist to support our mine closure projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in mine planning, design processes, and key factors influencing mine design and closure optionality.

The role involves performing duties and responsibilities as a Senior representative, reviewing reports and deliverables, developing business opportunities, and supporting business development through conferences and technical papers.

The successful candidate will have a multidisciplinary technical background, an undergraduate degree in engineering or natural/physical sciences, and preferably a post-graduate qualification in a related field.

About the Role
  • Perform duties and responsibilities as a Senior company representative delivering mine closure support for clients
  • Peer review company reports and other deliverables
  • Develop business opportunities for clients
  • Support business development by attending conferences and presenting technical papers
Requirements
  • Mine closure experience with a multidisciplinary technical background
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering or natural/physical sciences
  • Post-graduate qualification in a related field (preferable)
  • 15+ years' relevant experience at a Principal capacity
  • Experience in mine planning design processes and key factors influencing mine design and closure optionality
  • Strong understanding of the legislative framework surrounding mine closure in Australia and/or New Zealand
