Public Relations Officer - Australian Army

The Australian Defence Force is currently seeking a skilled Public Relations professional to join their team.

This role will involve managing communications campaigns to enhance the public perception of the Australian Army as an integral part of the nation's armed forces. Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting press releases for media distribution and publication
  • Developing relationships with key media personnel, particularly those focused on defence reporting
  • Creating engaging visual content showcasing Army personnel and activities for promotional purposes
  • Organising media awareness training sessions for service members
  • Providing expert advice to senior Army command staff on sensitive matters involving uniformed personnel

Applicants must be Australian citizens between 17 and 56 years old, possessing a strong portfolio in PR, journalism, marketing, and corporate communications. A high level of physical fitness is also required, as well as a willingness to undergo basic military training and potentially be stationed at various ADF bases across Australia.
