We are seeking an experienced Senior Clinical/Health Psychologist to join our Paediatric Chronic Pain Team at Women's and Children's Hospital in Adelaide.
The successful applicant will work closely with children and their families, focusing on their health, psychological well-being, and overall quality of life. As a key member of our team, you will develop, coordinate, and implement high-quality psychological and therapeutic services for children referred to the Paediatric Chronic Pain Service.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop individualised treatment plans for children experiencing chronic pain.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care and support.
- Design and deliver evidence-based interventions to improve psychological functioning and reduce pain-related distress.
- Participate in research opportunities to advance our understanding of chronic pain in children and inform best practices.
- A doctoral degree in clinical psychology or a related field.
- Postgraduate experience working with children and adolescents, particularly those experiencing chronic pain.
- Advanced skills in assessment, intervention, and consultation.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
