We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our team in the Emergency Department of a public hospital in Australia.
Estimated Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum
About the RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to work in a fast-paced environment, providing assessment and treatment services to patients with a wide range of mental health presentations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients presenting to the Emergency Department with mental health concerns.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide ongoing support and therapy to patients as needed.
- Collaborate with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and treatment progress.
Requirements:
- Ambitious and motivated Clinical Psychologist with experience working in emergency settings.
- Advanced degree in Clinical Psychology (PhD or Master's level) from an accredited institution.
- Registration as a Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Strong assessment and treatment planning skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
- Knowledge of evidence-based psychological interventions and best practices in emergency psychiatry.
