Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced academic professional to lead the development, review, and evaluation of learning and assessment materials across various programs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and international markets, with excellent research and writing skills. They will be responsible for creating high-quality content that meets the needs of our students and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop content outlines and briefs with learning outcomes, content components, external references, and reading lists
  • Research and write engaging content with relevant source materials and industry expertise
  • Ensure all feedback from students, assessors/tutors, benchmarking activities, and other sources is incorporated into content where appropriate
  • Develop content at appropriate AQF levels or competencies as required
  • Identify industry experts to use in video/audio interviews
  • Collaborate on multimedia production with Instructional Designers and Multimedia Producers
  • Participate in internal governance committees according to the Academic Quality and Governance Framework
  • Comply with expectations from government regulatory bodies, external stakeholders, and professional associations
  • Maintain knowledge of the Australian financial services landscape and international markets

Requirements:

  1. Relevant postgraduate qualification in Applied Finance, Economics, Financial Advice, Commerce, or Law
  2. Minimum 5 years' experience in the financial services industry
  3. Minimum 3 years' experience in learning design and delivery within higher education and/or vocational education environments
  4. Excellent research and writing skills
  5. Knowledge of financial advice and experience in international markets
  6. Demonstrated end-to-end multimedia educational content development skills
  7. Understanding of industry/professional association codes
  8. Ability to convey complex ideas using multimedia formats
  9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines
