Job Title: Bioinformatics Lead
Bioinformatics professionals with strong leadership skills are sought after to spearhead our bioinformatics initiatives. This is an opportunity to apply your expertise in designing and developing effective bioinformatics pipelines, translating complex data into actionable insights, and driving innovation in the field.

About the Role:

This position requires a master's degree in bioinformatics or a related field and experience working in high-performance computing environments. You will need to be proficient in programming languages such as R, Python, and Perl.


Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Master of Bioinformatics or similar qualification in the biological sciences.
  • Experience in High Performance Computing environments and fluency in programming languages such as R, Python, Perl etc.
  • Evidence of high-quality publications that include bioinformatics analyses such as genomics, transcriptomics and protein structural modelling.
  • Ability to build effective and constructive relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders through the provision of technical services.
  • Demonstrated experience in effective leadership to improve performance, establish a harmonious working environment and maintain an outcome-based focus.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multi-stakeholder projects, including strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.

Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in the analysis of genomic architecture of simple and complex traits.
  • Experience in metabolic pathway modelling, sgRNA design and/or machine learning would be beneficial.
