Job Description

Cannabis production facility seeks skilled Production Operator to perform a variety of duties associated with the production of medicinal cannabis containing materials.

This role works in a fast-paced environment, operating production equipment, cleaning facilities, handling raw materials and cannabis materials, and participating in the commissioning of new equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine tasks accurately and strictly follow SOPs and Work Instructions
  • Work safely, following strict safety procedures
  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
  • Maintain equipment by following operating instructions; communicate breakdowns; maintain supplies; and raise work requests for repairs
  • Escalate and respond to alarms/faults in line with procedures or instructions
  • Promptly escalate all OHS, quality, production, and security events/deviations
  • Record production parameters, interpret production data, and report parameters as necessary
  • Maintain rigorous logs including equipment, facility, and cleaning
  • Establish and maintain production procedures and forms within the company's Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Complete production documentation/batch records/labelling in line with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and participate in document reviews
  • Follow schedules for cleaning and recording activities as directed
  • Ensure the production area is well-stocked and resourced by regularly checking inventory of equipment and tools and informing the Production Supervisor of needs
  • Contribute to process improvement within the production environment
  • Undertake training as directed and work with the Production Manager on training plans
  • Assist with training of new team members
  • Ensure controlled material is handled correctly according to established procedures
  • Coordinate with the cultivation group to ensure material is transferred correctly
