Job Title

An Arborist with a passion for tree maintenance is required to join our team. The successful candidate will collaborate with skilled professionals to carry out arboricultural maintenance on Council-owned trees.

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Arborist to work in parks, reserves, bushland and streets. The role includes using climbing techniques and Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs) to complete pruning and/or removal works throughout the municipality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out arboricultural maintenance on Council-owned trees.
  • Use climbing techniques and EWPs to complete required pruning and/or removal works.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and coordinate team members as required.
  • Develop and maintain good communication skills with experience in dealing with the public.
  • Participate in a culture striving for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Arboriculture or equivalent industry experience.
  • Extensive experience in a similar role with high-profile scheduled tree maintenance programs.
  • Well-developed communication skills with experience in dealing with the public.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and a willingness to follow issues through to completion.
  • Current MR Driver's License or willingness to attain in the short term.
  • Computer literate.
  • Construction Induction Card.
