The Opportunity

A career opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technology Systems Specialist to join our Fleet Management System team.

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, the core focus for this position will be to plan, coordinate, QA and support current and future deployments of mining technology systems to our customers.

To be successful in this role, a trade qualification in light vehicle mechanics, automotive electrical, electronics or communications technician is essential.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Play a key role in planning, coordination, QA and supporting Mining Systems to clients in the mining industry
  • Work closely with suppliers to design and procure non-standard bracketry and installation components
  • Collaborate with the installation team to install Mining technology Systems to heavy mining equipment, ensuring an OEM level of quality
  • Commissioning and QA of mobile mining technology systems
  • Deliver hardware and system upkeep training to customers
  • Provision new customers, including onboard software installation
  • Document projects to OEM standards
  • Diagnose reported issues and manage accurate database records with resolution reporting
  • Stay up-to-date with knowledge of WencoLite and WencoMine FMS and HPMG systems

To succeed in this role, you:

  • Will have a solid understanding of networking protocols and technologies (WAN, LAN & Wireless)
  • Will possess a trade qualification in automotive electrical, electronics or communications
  • Have experience supervising project hardware installations
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
