The Role

We are seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Lead to join our Manufacturing and Supply Chain Leadership Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving manufacturing process improvements, reducing operational costs and waste, and embedding lean manufacturing principles across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead OPEX initiatives to drive manufacturing process improvements, leveraging lean principles such as 5S, SMED, DMAIC, RCA, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine root causes of inefficiencies and implement preventive actions.
  • Teach, coach, and mentor direct team members, peers, and manufacturing team members to drive short-term OPEX roadmap goals.
  • Work with operational teams to scope, develop, and execute projects that improve facility layouts, equipment, and process efficiency.
  • Develop and establish policies and procedures to embed the OPEX mindset across our facilities.
  • Continuously measure and monitor processes, risks, and controls through post-implementation reviews and project follow-up.
Requirements
  • Degree qualifications in Manufacturing, Engineering, Science, or Business, with a minimum Green Belt in Six Sigma.
  • 3+ years of industry experience, with 2+ years in lean manufacturing in a similar position within FMCG, automotive, pharma, or similar industries.
  • Strong facilitation skills with a track record of engaging and coaching frontline stakeholders to embrace lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent IT skills, with the ability to capture and trend data to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
