Kalgoorlie Manufacturing Site

The Kalgoorlie manufacturing site, situated in Western Australia's Goldfields-Esperance region, serves as a critical component of Orica's operations, providing indispensable services and products, including explosives and blasting solutions, to local mining companies.

Project Delivery Lead Role

We seek a seasoned Project Delivery Lead to oversee the capital project program at our Kalgoorlie site. This position involves managing the capital projects portfolio, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

The successful candidate will establish, balance, monitor, and control discrete manufacturing projects to support Asset Owners and achieve their business objectives, while adhering to Orica's project and program governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the Asset Owner, fostering strong relationships and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • E nsure alignment and governance of project and engineering teams at the Kalgoorlie site to achieve business objectives.
  • Plan and implement projects, monitor progress, and report to key stakeholders.
  • Ensure conformance to Orica's Safety, Health, Environment, and Security (SHES) standards and manage the PMO's fixed cost budget, including reporting and corrective actions.
  • Provide effective leadership, manage supplier relationships, and ensure teams are trained in project management principles and Orica governance processes.
Requirements
  • Possess proven experience in project management.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Show ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Have knowledge of compliance and safety standards.
