About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Support Worker. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting children and young people living in residential out-of-home care at our therapeutic properties.

As a Support Worker, your primary responsibility will be to equip young people with new coping strategies and pro-social behaviors to help them transition to a forever home. This involves teaching essential life skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and personal care, as well as assisting with homework and engaging in sports activities.

In addition to providing daily support, you will also develop support documentation, including Positive Behaviour Support Plans and progress reports. You will assess and support the developmental progress of our young people and liaise with stakeholders to share information and contribute to planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
  • Australian Driver's Licence (Open or P2).
  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or equivalent.
  • Availability for shift work, including weekdays, weekends, and sleepovers as scheduled.
  • Paid Blue Card or willingness to obtain one.
  • First Aid and CPR certificates, or willingness to obtain them.
