
Supervise Equipment and Transport Operations

This is a career-defining opportunity to join our Logistics Team and play a critical role in supporting the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising a group of personnel who work closely with members across NSW to provide much-needed supplies to our volunteer members supporting fire and other emergencies.
The primary function of our Logistics unit is to manage the logistical and operational readiness of equipment and transport for the RFS. This involves coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of logistical support and services.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Manage logistics and transport operations, including day-to-day and operational activities
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and plans
- Coordinate supply chain management and reporting
- Manage inventory and warehouse operations
- Operate and manage heavy plant equipment
- Foster a purpose-driven culture with a can-do attitude
- Develop excellent communication skills and proactive approach to guide decision-making and foster collaboration with stakeholders
