About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Spatial Sciences Officer to join our team. As a key member of our spatial sciences group, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and governance in Geographic Information Science and Technology (GIS&T) across major rail infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the delivery and integration of GIS services across major rail projects.
- Ensure the quality, integrity, and accessibility of geospatial data to support project planning and delivery.
- Provide expert strategic advice on complex spatial challenges to internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of policies, standards, and innovative solutions in GIS&T.
- Extensive experience in GIS&T leadership, data governance, and geospatial solutions for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Ability to guide data-driven decision making across planning, design, and construction.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
- Salary: $130,407 - $139,830 superannuable salary
- 12.75% employer superannuation contributions
