Natural Perils and Geospatial Professional

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead the pricing of natural peril components of our Home products and geospatial strategy. This includes managing data, pricing algorithms, monitoring and implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute end-to-end pricing processes for natural perils (e.g. flood, bushfire, earthquake, etc) including data analysis, modelling, review, implementation and monitoring.
  • Lead the development and management of the geospatial capability within Pricing including managing external data update processes, stakeholder relationships and exploration of new datasets.
  • Provide strategic guidance and quality advice on natural perils pricing strategy, geospatial strategy, risk assessment and other pricing related matters.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the pricing process.
  • Communicate the impact of pricing changes to senior leadership.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years general insurance industry experience preferably in a natural perils pricing function.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Understanding of statistical modelling techniques and machine learning approaches.
  • Familiarity with data software packages is an advantage.
  • Degree qualification in mathematics, statistics or a related field.
