In this fulfilling role, you will provide care and companionship to older people in their own homes, empowering their independence and improving their quality of life.
You will be based on the Central Coast, mainly around Gorokan & surrounding areas. As a Support Worker, you will provide light housekeeping at various locations, travelling to clients' homes and communities using your own car.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Meal preparation
- Providing transport for wellbeing - driving to appointments and accompanying clients on shopping trips.
- Assist with social support groups and outings.
We are looking for individuals with previous experience in aged or community care, or those passionate about beginning their career in aged care. You will be empathetic, resourceful, and able to live Uniting's everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A National Police Check
- Reference checks
- Other pre-employment screenings
