Family Violence Therapeutic Readiness Specialist

The Northern Metropolitan sub-region is home to a range of specialist family violence support services, designed to address the complex needs of victim survivors and their children.
These services provide critical support to cisgendered heterosexual women and their children, as well as people from the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, and Queer Community (LGBTIQ+), and their children.
To meet the diverse needs of these communities, support services offer a range of programs, including therapeutic interventions, practical assistance, and advocacy.
The goal of these services is to empower victim survivors and their children to maintain a life free of violence while addressing the emotional and practical consequences of family violence.
This role involves developing an understanding of therapeutic readiness for practitioners referring to family violence counseling services.
