About Aboriginal Health Practitioner Role

  • Position Type: Casual
  • Salary Range: $75,251 to $110,813 per annum (RN 2.1 to 3.3), $74,007 to $96,681 per annum (AHP 2.1 to 3.4)
To Be Successful
  • Bachelor of Nursing and/or Certificate IV in Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice).
  • Current registration as an AHP/ Nurse with a relevant authority.
  • Demonstrated understanding and/or experience in providing Primary Health Care.
  • Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture and history.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated computer skills.

This position requires:

  • A current police check.
  • A valid Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).
  • A Current CPR certificate or willingness to gain one within 6 months.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or an exemption listed on the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR).
  • Full rights to work in Australia.
