Indigenous Support Specialist

This role provides culturally sensitive support and intervention services to Indigenous young people who are subject to youth justice intervention. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with community stakeholders to develop and implement individualised case plans that address the unique needs of each client.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist youth justice staff and community stakeholders in assessing, planning, and intervening with Indigenous young people.
- Develop and implement individualised case plans through designing and implementing intervention strategies and linking clients to relevant services.
- Build relationships with families, elders, and other key community members to enhance their capacity to support Indigenous young people.
- Maintain accurate records and case notes, including information management tasks.
Requirements
- Hold a valid 'C' Class driver's licence for day-to-day work.
- Obtain a Blue Card prior to starting and pass pre-employment screening.
