About the Role

This part-time position is based at our Adelaide campus, with hybrid work arrangements that offer flexibility and work-life balance. As a Senior Lecturer, you will have the opportunity to teach and mentor students, develop and coordinate courses, and contribute to the growth and innovation of our academic programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching and Mentoring: Ignite intellectual curiosity through independent teaching in tutorials, workshops, placement units, and clinical sessions.
  • Course Development and Coordination: Take the lead in coordinating courses and units, utilizing your expertise to shape comprehensive and cutting-edge curricula.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Foster a culture of excellence and collaboration as you guide a passionate and highly motivated academic teaching team.
  • Student Supervision and Mentorship: Make a difference in the academic journey of honours and postgraduate students through your dedicated supervision and mentorship.
  • Committee Participation: Play an active role in shaping the future of the discipline through your valuable participation in committees.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate qualifications, ideally a PhD or equivalence in qualification and experience, in a relevant discipline.
  • Extensive experience working and teaching in a tertiary education institution.
  • Experience in course development and program delivery.
  • Eligibility for membership of the AASW: Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Passion for teaching and empowering the next generation of social workers.
  • Dedicated to developing your academic career in Social Work and academic leadership.
