Job Title:

Commercial Insurance Leader

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute commercial insurance strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including employers, trustees, and health providers.
  • Oversee the underwriting, claims, and operations functions to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
  • Lead transformation programs to improve operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver better customer experiences and ensure data and reporting tools support smart decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of leading commercial strategy in insurance or financial services, with experience in aligning business goals with enterprise-wide plans.
  • Confident budget management and decision-making skills, balancing financial impact with long-term outcomes.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with experience in building and maintaining strategic partnerships.
  • Operational transformation and continuous improvement expertise, particularly in underwriting and claims.
  • Data analysis and interpretation skills, using data platforms and reporting tools to uncover insights and improve performance.
  • Experience working with technology teams to shape digital roadmaps and deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Knowledge of risk appetite and compliance frameworks, with experience managing reinsurance arrangements.
  • Corporate infrastructure development expertise, creating policies, procedures, and systems that embed into operations.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, ideally post-graduate credentials too.
