We are seeking a Principal Evaluation Officer to lead evaluation projects within the Victorian Government.

About this role:

The ideal candidate will design and execute evaluations using fit for purpose methodologies, generating representative and credible qualitative insights that inform government priorities.

Key responsibilities include leading evaluation teams, collaborating with other departments, providing evidence-based advice, and ensuring successful completion of projects on schedule.

This role requires expertise in qualitative analysis, evaluation design and execution, internal consultancy, stakeholder engagement, continuous improvement, and communication and reporting.

  • Evaluation - Expertise in designing and executing evaluations using methodologies involving survey data, stakeholder feedback, and qualitative data sources
  • Qualitative Analysis - Skilled in administering surveys end-to-end, including sampling, questionnaire design, survey deployment, and analysis of survey data
  • Internal Consultancy - Extensive experience in providing internal consultancy services, identifying needs, and delivering tailored solutions and advice
  • Stakeholder Engagement - Ability to engage with government officials, community leaders, and policy experts
  • Continuous Improvement - Strong record of accomplishment in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and feedback
