Job Title: Finance and Accounting Specialist

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial support to the organization by processing accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions, preparing reconciliations of financial accounts, and collaborating with the Financial Controller to improve financial processes.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent organizational and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transaction Processing: Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Reconciliation: Prepare reconciliations of financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Financial Analysis: Collaborate with the Financial Controller to analyze financial data and develop recommendations for process improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Australian Citizen: Must be an Australian citizen or have the right to work in Australia.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain Baseline Security Clearance.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Basic knowledge of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Tertiary Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, Business, or Economics is preferred.
