Job Summary:
The Event Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of major events such as the St Kilda Festival.
We are seeking an experienced administrator to provide support for administration activities, leveraging their expertise in public event management and customer service.
- Collaborate with the Festival Production Team to develop strategies that ensure all production and operational aspects of the St Kilda Festival are met
- Recruit and onboard Event and Production delivery staff, including briefing and liaising with Festivals recruitment and pay-roll agency
- Liaise with Festival partners and participants to guarantee infrastructure requirements are met
- Oversee the implementation of Festivals online Safety Induction
- Supervise casual staff and volunteers
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Coordinate and oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes
- Event Planning: Develop and implement event plans, including logistics, operations, and marketing strategies
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support as needed
- Communication: Foster strong relationships with Festival partners, participants, and stakeholders through effective communication and liaison
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues promptly, demonstrating initiative and adaptability in fast-paced event environments
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in event coordination, project management, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- High level of organization and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
