Our establishment features 131 well-appointed guest rooms, four versatile conference rooms, and a restaurant and bar designed to cater to a diverse array of travelers.

We have recently completed a significant renovation of our food and beverage spaces, and we are in search of a Part-Time Cook to enhance our kitchen team and contribute to the exciting evolution of our dining offerings and menu concepts.

Position Overview

We are currently on the lookout for a Part-Time Cook to become an integral part of our professional and dynamic kitchen team. The primary responsibility will involve working the breakfast shift, commencing at 6 AM, where you will prepare and serve dishes for the hotel’s buffet breakfast and assist with food preparation for our all-day dining menu. There may also be opportunities to cover additional shifts for conferences or dinner services as needed.

This role is ideal for individuals pursuing culinary studies seeking practical kitchen experience or for seasoned cooks looking to supplement their hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present food for the breakfast buffet with creativity and variety.
  • Implement strict stock rotation and minimize waste by adhering to stock control procedures.
  • Follow AllSafe protocols diligently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas, including washing dishes during service.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is well-maintained, serviced, and cleaned, reporting any issues to the Food & Beverage Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in buffet breakfast service is preferred.
  • Ability to deliver consistent, high-quality food while adhering to food cost guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with service teams to ensure quality product and service for guests.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive demeanor.
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
  • A willingness to learn and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations.
