Job Description

Bupa is an international healthcare group with a purpose of longer, healthier, happier lives. They support more than 5 million customers through health and care services including health insurance, aged care, rehabilitation, dental, optical, medical, hearing, and medical visa services.

The Enterprise Architect leads the enterprise architecture domain space for capabilities and technologies that enable health and care experiences to customers. This includes platform capabilities for health services, clinical systems, digital healthcare systems, aged care systems, and the Connected Care ecosystem.

This role involves playing a stewardship role in developing roadmaps and viable pathways towards target states. The architect works in partnership with colleagues to realise target state intent through the delivery and production of solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop enterprise-wide domain capability and technology target states.
  • Develop architectural alignment to customer and business lenses.
  • Develop, maintain, and iterate high-quality architectural artefacts.
  • Co-design and improve artefact formats with stakeholders.
  • Lead the implementation of architectural principles for standard patterns and reusable designs.
  • Comply with governance mechanisms to ensure traceability, auditability, and transparency of architectural decisions.
  • Partner with product, solution, engineering, and delivery practices to ensure the domain enterprise architecture accounts for their needs.
Qualifications and Skills
  • At least 10+ years experience as an architecture practitioner.
  • Direct experience working with Health technology and systems, either within hospital/clinical/residential and care-delivery or in the Digital healthcare environment.
  • Experience as an Enterprise Architect within a large corporate environment or top tier consulting practice.
  • Professional qualifications – appropriate certifications in architecture practice, analysis, and design.
  • Experience working within matrix structures, collaborating with colleagues and peers.
  • Experience working with architecture design, modelling, and documentation toolsets.
