With a strong background in corporate finance, you will be responsible for leading the full financial cycle, including month end, half-year, year-end and consolidated statutory reporting. You will also oversee treasury and short-term cash flow forecasting to support operational discipline.

About the Role
  • This is an office-based role that reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Your key responsibility will be to manage the financial function and take ownership of end-to-end reporting, statutory accounts, treasury, tax, audit and accounts payable.
  • You will work closely with the Site Commercial Manager to improve finance systems and streamline processes around month end and supplier payments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the full financial cycle, including month end, half-year, year-end and consolidated statutory reporting.
  • Oversee treasury and short-term cash flow forecasting to support operational discipline.
  • Manage tax compliance, including income tax returns, fringe benefits tax and tax effect accounting.
  • Drive accuracy and governance across accounts payable and supplier payments.
  • Lead external audit processes and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Support and develop your team, including a Senior Accountant and Accounts Payable Officer.
Requirements
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualification with a degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Proven experience leading finance in mining, resources or heavy industry.
  • Technically strong and comfortable operating at pace.
  • Confident managing lean teams and owning end-to-end processes.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is an advantage.
