About the Role

Firesoft People is seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer to join their Sydney-based team. This exciting opportunity will see you work closely with other teams and departments to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse user stories and use cases for validity and feasibility, providing actionable feedback to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive testing strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Design and execute all levels of testing, including system, integration, and regression testing.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Java or Python.
  • Apply engineering principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle, ensuring quality and efficiency are at the forefront of every project.
  • Develop and execute maintainable test cases and regression test suites from analysis of user stories and process maps.
  • Provide expert advice on aspects of test planning, design, and execution, driving quality across the organization.
  • Liaise with the delivery engineering team to correctly interpret testing requirements and provide guidance on testing outcomes.
About You
  • You have 1+ years of experience in the Forex trading industry, with a strong understanding of trading basics and MT4/MT5.
  • You possess 2+ years of experience as a QA Software Engineer, with expertise in testing APIs, microservices, web services, and web pages.
  • You have excellent analytical skills, with a proven track record of driving issues to resolution and collaborating with development teams.
  • You are an effective communicator, comfortable working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software products.
  • You have a passion for embedding quality into all stages of development, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • You have proficiency in Selenium Framework, JMeter, and other relevant tools.
  • You thrive in Agile environments and are comfortable with fast-paced delivery processes.
What We Offer

As a QA Automation Engineer at Firesoft People, you can expect a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience.
