Inventory Management Specialist

\

Manage inventory levels to support production, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our inventory management system, and overseeing stocktakes and cycle counts.

\

Develop and maintain processes to reduce inventory costs and maximise working capital. Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of raw materials and components.

\

Prepare regular reports and manage shortages, excess, and ageing stock. Ensure compliance with company policies, quality management processes, and OH&S requirements.

  • You are a highly skilled inventory professional with experience in managing complex inventory systems.\
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively.\
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage resources efficiently.\
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate with both internal teams and external vendors.\
  • Knowledge of customs import and export procedures is an advantage.\
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with warehouse management systems (such as SAP R/3 MM or Manhattan Scale) are required.\
  • A high degree of accuracy with close attention to detail is essential.\
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar inventory control role within a manufacturing environment is necessary.\
  • A strong understanding of process improvement methodologies is desirable.\
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn and adapt are key attributes for success in this role.\
  • Sound knowledge of inventory management principles, including forecasting, demand planning, and vendor management.\
  • The ability to communicate complex ideas simply and provide clear instructions to colleagues and stakeholders.\
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel or Tableau.\
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate potential issues.\
  • Fluency in English language with excellent written and verbal communication skills.\
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.\
  • Self-motivated and proactive individual with a strong desire to improve processes and deliver results.\
  • Results-driven individual who takes ownership of their work and strives to achieve high-quality outcomes.\

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and AS/NZS 4801:2001 standards is an advantage.\
  • Certification in inventory management or supply chain management is desirable.\
  • Ability to represent the company at industry events and conferences.\
